We are very saddened by the loss of our member, Scott Harris, who passed away on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024. Scott joined our club in October 2016 and was involved in many of our fundraising and service projects. He was a dedicated volunteer who was always willing to help a hand and jump right in. As a scholarship committee chairman for many years, he provided insight on how to best recognize the students we selected for the scholarships. He was a regular volunteer for the OKC breakfasts, Hymers, and bunwiches. His smile was infectious, and he had a heart of gold. He will be missed by his family, friends, and club members who knew and volunteered with him.
Congratulations to our member Lee-Ann on this acknowledgement. Our club members appreciate her committment to improving the community for children, including leading the Kiwanis Builders Club at BGC Thunder Bay. #KidsNeedKiwanis#wecankiwanis#bgcthunderbay#IgniteVolunteerism#NVW2026#IVY2026We had a very special surprise at our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 💙 Albert and the Board of Directors honoured our Program Director, Lee-Ann Manser, with a service award and flowers in recognition of over 35 years of dedication to BGC. Lee-Ann has spent decades supporting, encouraging, and inspiring the children and families in our Club. She truly loves watching members grow up, build skills, and discover their potential through our programs. Her impact reaches far beyond our walls, and she hopes all families—past and present—know just how important they are to her. Thank you, Lee-Ann, for everything you do. Your commitment and care helps make our Club what it is today 💙 #bgccan #OpportunityChangesEverything ... See MoreSee Less
