Our club engages in fundraising throughout the year to give back to the community and support a variety of organizations, listed below. As Kiwanis is a global organization, we also support two international initiatives.
Local Initiatives

Volunteer HEART Award – Recognizing two community volunteers who support activities for children and youth and making a donation to their respective organization to help continue their good work
International Initiatives
Foster Parents Plan
– Sponsoring a child
Sleeping Children Around the World
– Providing 40 bed kits to children in other countries
Thunder Bay Multicultural Association Funding for the rent at OKC Westfort Family Resource Centre
Charity Coordinator, Ashlyn, is pictured with Linda and Carol from the Kiwanis Club of Westfort, celebrating the incredible $42,309.90 in charitable gaming funds received through volunteering at Superior Shores Gaming Bingos from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
These funds help support important programs and services in our community, and we are grateful for every volunteer who helps make this possible.
A huge thank you to Superior Shores Gaming Association for distributing a record-breaking $2,522,513.49 to 83 member charities this year! Together, we are making a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families across our region.
Kiwanis members were busy selling 50/50 tickets at Saturday's Bordercats Game to raise funds for children and youth in our community. Congratulations to John Coates. He was the winner of $733. Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets. #KidsNeedKiwanis... See MoreSee Less
