We are very saddened by the loss of our member, Scott Harris, who passed away on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024. Scott joined our club in October 2016 and was involved in many of our fundraising and service projects. He was a dedicated volunteer who was always willing to help a hand and jump right in. As a scholarship committee chairman for many years, he provided insight on how to best recognize the students we selected for the scholarships. He was a regular volunteer for the OKC breakfasts, Hymers, and bunwiches. His smile was infectious, and he had a heart of gold. He will be missed by his family, friends, and club members who knew and volunteered with him.
Our members enjoy this monthly service project! #KidsNeedKiwanis🍎A shoutout goes to the Kiwanis Club of Westfort-Thunder Bay for making a delicious breakfast last Saturday for our community! We appreciate your commitment to the breakfasts each month and so do the many individuals and families who come back each moth to enjoy the nutritious and free breakfast!🍊 ... See MoreSee Less
The City's Christmas tree drop off is extended until January 12. The details are available on the City of Thunder Bay - Municipal Government, Ontario, Canada website (link in the comments). Trees can't be left at recycling depots or put out for curbside collection. We hope everyone who purchased a tree from our fundraising tree lot enjoyed their holiday season. #KidsNeedKiwanis...
